| | how to create image with text on it. I am creating a image for a html web page, its a simple image so i have used PaintBrush to create it.
the image consiste of few numbers of rectangle of different color and text inside it.
but the problem is that when the image shows up on the web, the text looks distorted and poor and it looks really bad and un-readable...
any suggestion for this?

| | how to create image with text on it. Follow these steps:
1. Create the text in FreeHand.
2. Convert the text to paths (Command-Shift-P or select the convert to paths button on the text toolbar at the far right)
3. Set the fill t to None and set the stroke to Basic. Ungroup the text.
4. Join Objects (Command-J or use the Join button on the main toolbar) - this converts all of the text paths into one compound object.
5. Import the bitmap image (Choose File > Import and select the bitmap from the selection window.) Click once after the insertion cropmark appears to place your image.
6. Move the bitmap image into place, relative to the text object.
7. Send the bitmap image to back (Command-b) - this places the image behind the text so that both objects are visible.
8. Cut the bitmap image (Edit>Cut or Command-X)
9. Select the text object and choose Edit>Paste Inside (Command-Shift-V) to paste the bitmap image inside the text object.
10. Set the stroke to None if only the bitmap is to remain visible within the object.
11. in File>Preferences, Object category, check "Groups transform as a unit by default" before performing any transformations on the object. Make sure that the Transform palette is also set to include contents in any transformations. |

| | You can accomplish this using Movie Maker or Word. In Movie Maker you have to select the overlap option. This will give you many options to where and how you want your text to appear. With Microsoft Word if you paste a picture or insert a picture you can insert a text box and then click on the text box properties and choose bring to front. I hope using the Movie maker will solve your problem and you will see the Good quality Picture. |

| | Yes, I am looking for a websit. tool usable online.
I looked at the documentation for swift generator and GD libraries, but did not find instructions on how to create borders or shadows.
I know that it.must be possible wit. PHP (my competitor does it.in PHP), but the imageTTFtext() function documentation [php.net] for GD library does not seem to support this.
I would prefer a flash solution, because that gives me a vector output file. |

| | You might have to be a little more creative to do things like shadow.
Shadow = offset same text to the right and down and use a grey color, place your selected color text on top. |
