I've had my D40 for a few years and taken tons of pictures with it. Recently I've been fiddling with the settings trying to take time-lapse images (i.e. Lightning shots) and now every time I take a picture, I get a long beep after the picture is taken (during the image review). I've tried resetting all the custom settings to no avail and everything seems to be back to default. It also only happens when the flash goes off. If the flash does not go off, the beep does not happen. Hopefully someone here will be able to set me on the right path to fixing this very annoying issue.
