first do onpage seo then offpage seo both portions are much be very strong
onpage seo must be with plan and title, description and other mate tags are must be strong then your website will be visible into search engine |

Steps for SEO of a website:
On page:
1. Keyword in title tag.(Not more than 65 Characters and different for each webpage.)
2.Keyword in **** keyword tag.(However google doesn't give importance to it,but is useful for Yahoo and BIng.)
3. **** deascription tag. ( Search engine uses the content in this tag ,with listing of your site in SERPs,Write attractive description tag so that user click on your listing)

SEO is a process of increasing the traffic for a website and if you are looking to do seo by your self for your website then I am going to tell you some basic techniques for improving your search engine rankings.
1 First analyze your website keywords depending on your website or you can say which product your company is selling .You can go for online tools like Google adwords , online keywords tracker etc. But be sure your keyword should be search oriented which peoples prefers for searching.
2- Second one reanalyze your **** tags like your **** title ,In title include your most important keywords and your title should not exceed 70 word count ,after title tag build your **** description should not exceed 160 word count and should contain at least all your most important keywords ,you can place only keywords in your **** description, and in last **** keywords but it's not as important as above two because Google does not crawl **** keywords but many others search engines crawl .
3- After on page i.e after these two steps you should go for off page like directory submission ,articles , blogs , forums , yahoo ques and answers, quiz participating , classifieds, business listings etc.
4- If you are doing seo individually then directory and business listings will be sufficient and you have to for good back links it may be paid links but good for your website to crawl as soon as you want.
5- At last if you want to increase your sell then you can use Google adwords but take consult before using.
