Although really when looking at the market share of servers you can't just simply count the number of systems sold. It's easy to count windows since the OS is always bundled with a system. Most outfits buying Unix or Linux servers do not buy systems with the OS preloaded or buy the systems from major server manufacturers. They're more likely to buy machines with no OS and build their own servers.
Linux is actually in the lead for server market share.
